A day in the blue

Ocean Love

Recently I spent a week in my part-time childhood-holiday-home Levanto. Levanto is a small town on the Ligurian coast, most often referred to as the flower Riviera. Mountains reaching for a sea which colour is ever changing, one moment you’re looking at a steel-blue menace just to be soothed by turquoise shallows around the next bent. And in the evenings just before it turns black the ocean rewards you with a pot of gold. I probably shouldn’t tell you, but in my mind this land is truly among the most most beautiful places on our blue planet, although I have to admit my judgement may be a bit biased – childhood memories and all that.
